Choose the rooms for larger furniture and identify cartons by where they belong. Check doorways, stairs and elevator dimensions before the move, especially when furniture is changing between a house and an apartment.
Arrange someone with keys to admit the crew and direct placement. Share fixed property moving hours or a reserved elevator with Milvus before the appointment is confirmed.
If the receiving date is later than collection, discuss storage for a defined inventory. Confirm duration, conditions, access, handling and redelivery charges before pickup.
Milvus publishes five date categories for local moving. The table shows the hourly rate for a crew with a truck. Confirm the category for your date and the complete booking terms before accepting your estimate.
| Date category | 2 movers + truck | 3 movers + truck | 4 movers + truck |
|---|---|---|---|
| Discount | $110/hr | $160/hr | $210/hr |
| Regular | $120/hr | $170/hr | $220/hr |
| Subpeak | $150/hr | $200/hr | $250/hr |
| Peak | $180/hr | $230/hr | $280/hr |
| Highpeak | $260/hr | $360/hr | $460/hr |
Additional mover and additional truck rates are $55/hour each in the Discount category, $65/hour each in Regular, Subpeak and Peak, and $75/hour each in Highpeak. Ask which crew and vehicle arrangement fits your inventory.
The hourly rate is one part of the estimate. Confirm minimum billable time, travel, packing labor and materials, access-related work and any other applicable charges. A move is not booked by viewing these rates.
| Part of the quote | Details to confirm |
|---|---|
| Crew, truck and date | The right arrangement and published date category |
| Travel and work | How full billable time and minimum billing are calculated |
| Preparation | Packing labor, supplies and agreed furniture work |
| Access | Loading positions, carrying distances, stairs and building reservations |
| Additional destinations | Separate inventory, recipient and access at every stop |
Ask for applicable charges and current booking terms to be explained before accepting the quote. Changes to the inventory, route or access should be reviewed with Milvus before moving day.
