What is the storage solving for you?
The reason for storing the household affects the dates, access needs and things you should keep with you. Choose the arrangement closest to yours.
A short gap between homes
Give the move-out date and the earliest date the next property can receive furniture. Request the pickup, storage period and final delivery together. Keep everyday essentials outside the shipment so you do not need to retrieve a carton during a brief gap.
Renovation or staging
Identify the rooms that need clearing and the pieces staying in the property. Consider whether delivery will happen in one visit or several stages. The work schedule may change, so discuss how revised dates and partial redelivery would be handled.
A longer transition or smaller new home
Decide which items need storage and which should go directly to the next address. Ask about access arrangements, permitted contents and the protection available for the stored belongings. Compare the recurring space cost with handling and eventual redelivery.

Confirm the space your inventory needs and ask about pickup, redelivery, access and any minimum rental period. Monthly storage and the work of moving items in or out are separate parts of your estimate.
Review the actual inventory against the rates. Two one-bedroom apartments can need different amounts of space, depending on how much they contain. Discuss later additions before changing the stored load.
Have the booking details explain part-month billing, access during storage and the notice needed for delivery. Those terms matter when the receiving date is still uncertain.
Collection, storage and return delivery
Plan collection, the storage period and return delivery as three parts of one job. Send the dates you know, even if the next address is undecided. The estimate should show the monthly storage charge separately from moving the items in and out.
The reason for storing matters. A renovation may mean clearing selected rooms; a delayed closing may involve the whole home. Explain what you need back first and what can stay packed, including any belongings needed at a temporary address.
Start with a room-by-room list and approximate box count. Include the basement, spare furniture and anything already held at another address. Bedroom count alone can miss a surprising amount of the shipment.

Once the receiving date is firm, send the delivery address and access details. Stairs, elevator hours and the unloading position matter on redelivery just as they do on a direct move.
Pack for the time your things will spend stored
Before pickup, set aside identity documents, medication, keys and work essentials. If you will need seasonal clothes or a particular carton while the rest stays stored, arrange that access before the load is packed.
Furniture should be clean and dry. Empty drawers where appropriate, label cartons clearly and identify fragile pieces. Ask about packing help for mirrors, lamps and other items that cannot simply go into a standard box.

The monthly rate is only one part of a storage move

Ask which category fits your belongings and how the billing period works, including any minimum term or partial-month treatment.
A complete estimate should separately explain collection, storage, handling and redelivery. Ask how and when you may retrieve an item, what notice is needed to end storage and what happens if the final address changes. Do not treat a moving-and-storage service as an unrestricted self-storage locker. Keep a copy of the stored inventory and leave documents, daily medication and anything you need soon outside it.
Storage questions
Can I store only a few pieces of furniture?
Yes, request a quote for the specific pieces and any boxes. Include dimensions for unusually large items. The room-or-less rate is a starting reference; Milvus should confirm the space and moving work for your inventory.
Can I visit or retrieve items during storage?
Confirm the access process, notice and any retrieval charge before booking. Do not assume a moving-and-storage arrangement includes the same drop-in access as a self-storage unit.
What if my delivery date changes?
Contact Milvus as soon as you know. Ask how the new date affects availability and storage billing, then get the revised arrangements confirmed.
Are climate control and item protection included?
Describe any temperature or humidity requirements and ask Milvus to confirm whether the proposed storage arrangement is suitable. Also review the applicable protection terms and limits for both storage and transport before you book.
How do I decide which storage size I need?
Describe the furniture, cartons and any bulky items rather than choosing only by your home’s bedroom count. Milvus can review the inventory against the published categories. The agreed space and monthly charge should appear in your quote.
Can I have only some items delivered first?
Explain that requirement before booking. Partial redelivery affects identification, access and handling, and may have a separate cost. Agree the stages and expected notice rather than assuming individual cartons can be collected at any time.
Does the storage price include the move back?
The monthly space price should not be treated as the full pickup-and-return cost. Ask for transport, handling and redelivery to be shown in the estimate, with the final address and access when known.
What should I keep out of the storage shipment?
Keep anything you need during the storage period with you. Ask Milvus for the permitted-contents rules, especially for perishables, liquids, plants, equipment and other items needing special conditions. Do not assume every household item is suitable for storage.
