You prepare the cartons
Give Milvus the furniture list and approximate box count, then identify any remaining protection, disassembly or delicate items.

Think about where the sofa, beds and larger cabinets will go in your next Hingham home. Milvus can plan their preparation and placement alongside the boxes, with packing help and storage when the move needs them.
Your estimate depends on the items, access and services you need.
Prefer to talk? 857-895-8955A furniture list becomes more useful when each large piece has a destination room. Check the intended route through the new home, including stair landings and doorways, before collection. Share dimensions and photographs where a turn looks difficult.
Tell Milvus about furniture assembled in its current room, delicate finishes, removable shelves and loose components. Have any disassembly, preparation and reassembly identified in the estimate. Restoration, wall mounting and technical installation are separate work and should not be assumed.
If you are taking only part of the household, mark what stays clearly. The same inventory should guide the quote, packing decisions and placement at delivery.

A dining room may contain ordinary cartons, glassware, a large table and furniture with removable parts. Identify fragile contents separately and decide whether you will pack them or ask Milvus to help. Agree on suitable materials and the labor involved.
Keep removable hardware and components identified with their furniture. Point out existing damage, loose joints or a finish that needs particular care before wrapping starts. Keep your own condition photographs with the moving records.
Do not leave delicate belongings unlisted because their cabinet is already on the inventory. The contents and the furniture can need different preparation and time.
Give Milvus the furniture list and approximate box count, then identify any remaining protection, disassembly or delicate items.
Specify individual belongings, rooms or the full household. Agree on labor, supplies and preparation dates while keeping daily essentials available.
Milvus publishes five date categories for local moving. The table shows the hourly rate for a crew with a truck. Confirm the category for your date and the complete booking terms before accepting your estimate.
| Date category | 2 movers + truck | 3 movers + truck | 4 movers + truck |
|---|---|---|---|
| Discount | $110/hr | $160/hr | $210/hr |
| Regular | $120/hr | $170/hr | $220/hr |
| Subpeak | $150/hr | $200/hr | $250/hr |
| Peak | $180/hr | $230/hr | $280/hr |
| Highpeak | $260/hr | $360/hr | $460/hr |
Additional mover and additional truck rates are $55/hour each in the Discount category, $65/hour each in Regular, Subpeak and Peak, and $75/hour each in Highpeak. Ask which crew and vehicle arrangement fits your inventory.
The hourly rate is one part of the estimate. Confirm minimum billable time, travel, packing labor and materials, access-related work and any other applicable charges. A move is not booked by viewing these rates.
Access should be reviewed at both addresses. A straightforward driveway at collection does not resolve a difficult stair turn at the destination.
Identify the driveway or loading position, including usable space, surface and turning access.
Show steps, slopes, gates and the distance to the entrance. Note any alternative door that offers a better route.
Pass along any management moving hours, elevator bookings or paperwork requirements before confirming the date.
Arrange keys, an available recipient and clear paths to the rooms. Mention other deliveries or work sharing the entrance.
| Situation | What to put in the plan |
|---|---|
| Both homes available | Pickup date, receiving hours and property access |
| New home available later | Stored inventory, expected duration and conditions |
| Only part of the load needs storage | Separate item lists and destination labels |
| Destination outside Massachusetts | Interstate quote, delivery arrangement and both properties |
For storage, confirm access, handling and redelivery charges before collection. Keep personal documents, medication and belongings needed during the interval with you.
