A large household can need several kinds of help: ordinary carton moving, selected fragile packing, furniture disassembly and a storage interval. Identify each part so the estimate describes the work you actually want.
Keep your own condition photographs and item records. Review the written service and valuation terms for the move, and ask how a concern or claim should be reported. Do not assume that packing alone establishes a particular level of coverage.
Artwork and furniture
Decide how each delicate item will be prepared
List framed pieces, mirrors and other delicate belongings separately from the surrounding furniture. Give dimensions and explain the materials or finish where relevant. Discuss the appropriate packing and whether additional preparation is needed before the moving appointment.
For furniture, identify removable shelves, glass, legs and hardware. Have disassembly and assembly agreed in the estimate. If you prepare parts yourself, keep them identified with their item rather than placing loose fittings in an unrelated carton.
Restoration, repairs, wall mounting and technical installation are separate tasks. Describe what you need and arrange specialist work separately where it falls outside the moving appointment.

The hourly rate is one part of the estimate. Confirm minimum billable time, travel, packing labor and materials, access-related work and any other applicable charges. A move is not booked by viewing these rates.
