Choose the usable entrance
Confirm which door and staircase the movers can use. Include any shared vestibule, side entrance or rear approach in the description.
Agree on the loading position
Check who controls the driveway or curb space and when it will be available. Tell Milvus about other residents’ vehicles or a restricted loading window.
Match the furniture to the route
Identify the widest, longest and least flexible pieces. Photographs and measurements help resolve a difficult turn before the crew arrives.

A stairway can look generous in a photograph taken straight up its centre. The upper landing, railing, door swing and ceiling may tell a different story. Photograph those transitions for a sofa, mattress, tall cabinet or other large piece.
In a two-family property, explain which rooms and storage spaces belong to your household. Keep the common route open, and coordinate the use of a shared entrance or driveway with the other residents.

Additional mover and additional truck rates are $55/hour each in the Discount category, $65/hour each in Regular, Subpeak and Peak, and $75/hour each in Highpeak. Ask which crew and vehicle arrangement fits your inventory.
The hourly rate is one part of the estimate. Confirm minimum billable time, travel, packing labor and materials, access-related work and any other applicable charges. A move is not booked by viewing these rates.

Confirm loading arrangements with the right person
A shared driveway requires the property owner’s or residents’ cooperation; curbside parking is a different matter. Check the town’s current parking information and the restrictions at the actual location. Do not assume a space usually available to a car can be reserved for a moving truck.
For a managed apartment or condo, obtain the moving instructions, permitted times and any documentation requirements. Send those details to Milvus before the appointment is arranged.
Let us know if a long carry is likely or the truck may need to use an alternative position. That information belongs in the service and price discussion while there is time to make a practical plan.

Can you move from a second- or third-floor Arlington apartment?
