A little bit of history
The history of the cardboard box began in the 17th century: cardboard was invented in China. Before 1850, cardboard boxes used to have an odd oval shape, because it was easier to fold them than to make them faceted. Being oval in shape, they took up a lot of storage space. In 1879, North American printery owner Rober Gair created the first truly efficient cardboard box: it was possible to keep it flat and then to assemble when needed. He designed a machine to cut and print cardboard, and it opened him the way to launch mass cardboard production. After that, people were working on improving the desing and, as a result, boxes became popular in use.

It is difficult for us to imagine life without such inventions that ultimately were a breakthrough in the transportation of various goods and items.
