Are boxes and packing materials included?

Check the packing scope in your estimate. Protecting furniture, supplying boxes and packing a kitchen are different jobs; ask Milvus which materials and labor your selected service includes.

Your options

Pack it yourself, hand over selected items or plan full packing

You pack the loose contents

Have sturdy boxes sealed and labeled by room before pickup. Tell Milvus about any fragile or unfinished items instead of assuming the crew has time and supplies for them.

Milvus packs the agreed items

List the rooms or pieces you want packed. The quote should identify this work and the materials needed; a general moving estimate should not be treated as an unlimited packing service.

Before moving day

Replace “some boxes” with a useful list

  • Count by room

Estimate the contents of kitchen cabinets, bookshelves, closets and storage areas. Dense items need manageable boxes; bulky light belongings need different sizes.

  • Identify the breakables

Show mirrors, framed artwork, lamps and glass shelves in photos. Tell Milvus about unusual sizes or particularly delicate surfaces.

  • Ask about delivery and collection

Confirm when supplies will be available and whether reusable equipment needs to be returned. Check any separate arrangement for materials you keep.

  • Keep essentials separate

Carry keys, documents, medicines and valuables yourself. Set aside the things needed before the main shipment is unpacked.

If plans change

Call before pickup if packing is running late

An unfinished kitchen can change the amount of labor and material needed on moving day. Contact Milvus while there is time to discuss help and update the estimate.

If you want to use your own boxes, check that they are dry, sound and suitable for the contents. A weak box is not made suitable for heavy books simply by adding more tape. Keep a clear path through the home as you pack.

Questions before you book

A few more details

Have a different situation? Call 857-895-8955 and talk it through with Milvus.

Does a wardrobe box mean all packing is free?

Wardrobe-box use is a specific arrangement. It does not by itself define the price of other boxes, specialist materials or packing labor. Confirm each part of your quote.

Can Milvus pack only my kitchen?

Ask for a partial packing quote and describe the cabinets, appliances and fragile items involved. Confirm the scope, materials and packing date.

Should I leave furniture contents inside?

Ask about each piece. Emptying contents reduces weight and prevents loose items shifting; the right preparation depends on the furniture and access.
