The furniture and equipment
Include desks, chairs, files and household electronics in the inventory. Identify delicate screens and furniture needing preparation.

Move your Hudson household and home office in one coordinated appointment. Milvus handles furniture and cartons, with packing for delicate equipment or whole rooms. Plan what travels with the household and what you need to keep working between homes.
Your estimate depends on the items, access and services you need.
Prefer to talk? 857-895-8955Tell Milvus which belongings can be packed early and which must remain available until the final day. The packing plan should reflect that distinction.
Include desks, chairs, files and household electronics in the inventory. Identify delicate screens and furniture needing preparation.
Keep essential records, chargers and equipment with your accessible belongings. Back up files before preparing devices for transport.

Photograph household connections before disconnecting them and identify cords with the device they belong to. Keep removable parts together and discuss appropriate packing for screens and other delicate equipment. Use protective cases where suitable.
Milvus can include the moving and packing work agreed for household equipment. Network configuration, data migration, technical installation and wall mounting are different tasks; arrange them separately unless specifically agreed.
If furniture is being disassembled, identify its fittings and the required reassembly. Keep owner-removed hardware with the relevant desk or storage unit, and explain any existing condition concerns.
List furniture and approximate cartons. Identify mirrors, artwork and fragile contents that need packing.
Include basement, garage and closet items that are moving. Mark what stays or is being disposed of separately.
Provide dimensions, removable components and photographs of difficult turns. Explain if a piece was assembled in its room.
Add any extra receiving address or stored group before the route is quoted. Keep item lists separate for each destination.
Milvus publishes five date categories for local moving. The table shows the hourly rate for a crew with a truck. Confirm the category for your date and the complete booking terms before accepting your estimate.
| Date category | 2 movers + truck | 3 movers + truck | 4 movers + truck |
|---|---|---|---|
| Discount | $110/hr | $160/hr | $210/hr |
| Regular | $120/hr | $170/hr | $220/hr |
| Subpeak | $150/hr | $200/hr | $250/hr |
| Peak | $180/hr | $230/hr | $280/hr |
| Highpeak | $260/hr | $360/hr | $460/hr |
Additional mover and additional truck rates are $55/hour each in the Discount category, $65/hour each in Regular, Subpeak and Peak, and $75/hour each in Highpeak. Ask which crew and vehicle arrangement fits your inventory.
The hourly rate is one part of the estimate. Confirm minimum billable time, travel, packing labor and materials, access-related work and any other applicable charges. A move is not booked by viewing these rates.
Show the available loading position and the route through the property. Include outside steps, slopes, narrow gates and the distance to the door. For apartment or condo moves, obtain management instructions and any elevator reservation or paperwork requirements before booking.
At the receiving home, check the usable openings and stair turns for the largest furniture. Choose rooms and keep space for agreed assembly, including the workspace you intend to use first.
Keep packed cartons away from shared corridors and the narrowest part of the route. Arrange keys and an available recipient, then tell Milvus about another delivery or contractor that needs the same entrance.
| Arrangement | Details needed |
|---|---|
| Direct household move | Both addresses, dates, inventory and access |
| Move with packing | Selected belongings or rooms, materials and timing |
| Storage before delivery | Stored inventory, expected duration and later destination |
| Interstate destination | Route-specific estimate and receiving arrangement |
For storage, confirm conditions, access, handling and redelivery charges. Keep equipment and records you need during the interval available rather than inside the stored load.
Milvus is based in Waltham. Review travel and the full billable-time calculation for the Hudson appointment, together with crew, date category, minimum billing and other applicable charges. A household and workspace inventory gives that discussion a firmer basis than a room count alone.
If packing grows, equipment is added or the receiving address changes, update Milvus before moving day. Have the service scope reviewed while there is time to adjust preparation and the appointment arrangement.
