Finish the less-used contents
Start with belongings you will not need before the move. Group cartons by receiving room and keep entrances open.
Set aside everyday essentials
Keep keys, important records, medication, chargers and immediate-use belongings separate from the moving load.

A finished carton needs somewhere to go
Leave space for the last days at home
Use an agreed area inside the home for completed cartons, leaving the furniture route and doors available. Separate belongings staying behind so they do not become part of the loading instructions.
Mark the receiving room rather than relying on someone to remember where each carton came from. If there is another delivery address or a storage group, identify it clearly and include that destination in the quote.
Estimate unfinished contents honestly. A room can look nearly packed while cupboards and closets still hold a substantial load. Update Milvus before the move if the inventory or packing work has grown.

Additional mover and additional truck rates are $55/hour each in the Discount category, $65/hour each in Regular, Subpeak and Peak, and $75/hour each in Highpeak. Ask which crew and vehicle arrangement fits your inventory.
The hourly rate is one part of the estimate. Confirm minimum billable time, travel, packing labor and materials, access-related work and any other applicable charges. A move is not booked by viewing these rates.

Confirm the crew, truck arrangement and date category for your inventory. Milvus is based in Waltham, so ask how travel is included in billable time and what minimum billing applies.
Include the packing still to be done, supplies, furniture preparation, additional addresses and any applicable access-related charges. A quote for prepared cartons is not the same scope as one that includes packing their contents.
