The receiving property needs the same check. A piece that leaves one apartment easily may face a different stairway or doorway at the next address. Choose its destination room before delivery.

The hourly rate is one part of the estimate. Confirm minimum billable time, travel, packing labor and materials, access-related work and any other applicable charges. A move is not booked by viewing these rates.

Point out delicate finishes, loose joints and existing condition concerns before the furniture is wrapped. For artwork, a piano or an unusually heavy item, provide dimensions and access so handling can be reviewed before the appointment is confirmed.
Restoration, repairs, wall mounting and technical connections are separate work. Have the required moving preparation and assembly specified rather than assuming all related tasks are included.
