Milvus handles Lawrence household and apartment moves, with packing and furniture preparation available for the parts you need help with. Define the rooms, belongings and access at both addresses, then review the full moving estimate before booking.
Your estimate depends on the items, access and services you need.
Prefer to talk? 857-895-8955Milvus publishes five date categories for local moving. The table shows the hourly rate for a crew with a truck. Confirm the category for your date and the complete booking terms before accepting your estimate.
| Date category | 2 movers + truck | 3 movers + truck | 4 movers + truck |
|---|---|---|---|
| Discount | $110/hr | $160/hr | $210/hr |
| Regular | $120/hr | $170/hr | $220/hr |
| Subpeak | $150/hr | $200/hr | $250/hr |
| Peak | $180/hr | $230/hr | $280/hr |
| Highpeak | $260/hr | $360/hr | $460/hr |
Additional mover and additional truck rates are $55/hour each in the Discount category, $65/hour each in Regular, Subpeak and Peak, and $75/hour each in Highpeak. Ask which crew and vehicle arrangement fits your inventory.
The hourly rate is one part of the estimate. Confirm minimum billable time, travel, packing labor and materials, access-related work and any other applicable charges. A move is not booked by viewing these rates.
| Cost or service | What to establish |
|---|---|
| Crew and date | The applicable category and movers with truck |
| Billable time | Minimum time, travel and how working time is calculated |
| Packing and materials | Who packs what, supplies and labor |
| Furniture preparation | Disassembly, protection and any agreed reassembly |
| Access and other stops | Floors, carrying distance, receiving windows and all addresses |
Milvus is based in Waltham. Include travel in the Lawrence estimate. If the route or inventory changes, ask for the appointment scope to be reviewed before the move.

In a shared apartment or multi-household property, identify the furniture and cartons that belong to your move. Mark what stays and label the destination room on packed cartons. Explain any color system as a supplement to clear written labels.
Keep groups inside the rooms rather than blocking the hallway. The crew needs a route for larger pieces, and other residents still need access to shared spaces.
If another address receives part of the load, put that inventory and receiving window in the original request. An additional stop changes the route and should not appear for the first time during loading.
Describe floors, landings, usable openings and elevator dimensions where relevant. Share photos for furniture that needs a closer review.
Obtain management requirements and reserve the access needed. Pass along requested paperwork and confirm it can be supplied for the appointment.
Identify where the vehicle can stand, local or property restrictions and the distance to the correct entrance.
Arrange keys, a recipient and room instructions. Check the destination separately even if pickup is straightforward.
Specify mirrors, artwork, dishes and other delicate contents. Agree on packing materials and labor.
Explain the contents remaining unpacked and when preparation can happen. Keep daily essentials available.
Identify removable parts, delicate finishes and items assembled indoors. Agree on the preparation and required assembly.
For direct delivery, confirm property access and the receiving time. Keep space available for larger furniture and any assembly agreed in the estimate. Let Milvus know if another delivery or contractor will use the entrance.
If the next home is not ready, discuss storage before collection. Define the stored inventory and expected duration, and confirm conditions, access, handling and later delivery charges. Keep medication, important records and everyday essentials with you.
A destination in New Hampshire or another state needs an interstate estimate for the complete route. Discuss delivery and preparation within that arrangement rather than assuming local hourly rates give the total.
Close suitable cartons and identify their rooms. Tell Milvus if more packing remains than planned.
Keep stairs, corridors and doorways open. Arrange the agreed entrance and loading access.
Point out delicate items, existing condition concerns and belongings that stay before loading begins.
