Packed-home moving
You prepare the cartons. Milvus moves the agreed furniture and belongings, with remaining protection and disassembly identified in the estimate.

Include every level of your Holden home in the furniture list, especially the basement and stored belongings. Milvus can move a prepared household or add the packing and furniture preparation you want handled.
Your estimate depends on the items, access and services you need.
Prefer to talk? 857-895-8955| Part of the home | Details for your quote |
|---|---|
| Main living areas | Furniture, estimated cartons and any items staying |
| Upper floors | Stair turns, landing size and large furniture dimensions |
| Basement | Contents, interior stairs and any usable walkout |
| Garage or separate storage | Inventory, entrance and distance to the truck |
Include how each group reaches the loading position. A basement floor number alone does not explain whether the crew can use a level exit or must carry everything through the house.

A walkout can offer a different route for furniture, but the ground beyond it matters. Show the surface, steps, slope and distance to the available truck position. Include the usable doorway opening and any turn needed immediately inside.
Ask Milvus to review that route with the dimensions of the larger pieces. Keep it clear while packing, and arrange access through any gate or locked door. Do not stack finished cartons where a dolly or furniture needs to pass.
Review the receiving home too. A piece that leaves through a wide lower-level exit may need to go upstairs or turn through a smaller opening at the destination.
You prepare the cartons. Milvus moves the agreed furniture and belongings, with remaining protection and disassembly identified in the estimate.
List mirrors, artwork, glassware and delicate pieces. Agree on their packing, materials and any special preparation before the appointment.
Request rooms or the household to be packed. Explain what remains in daily use and coordinate the preparation dates.
Milvus publishes five date categories for local moving. The table shows the hourly rate for a crew with a truck. Confirm the category for your date and the complete booking terms before accepting your estimate.
| Date category | 2 movers + truck | 3 movers + truck | 4 movers + truck |
|---|---|---|---|
| Discount | $110/hr | $160/hr | $210/hr |
| Regular | $120/hr | $170/hr | $220/hr |
| Subpeak | $150/hr | $200/hr | $250/hr |
| Peak | $180/hr | $230/hr | $280/hr |
| Highpeak | $260/hr | $360/hr | $460/hr |
Additional mover and additional truck rates are $55/hour each in the Discount category, $65/hour each in Regular, Subpeak and Peak, and $75/hour each in Highpeak. Ask which crew and vehicle arrangement fits your inventory.
The hourly rate is one part of the estimate. Confirm minimum billable time, travel, packing labor and materials, access-related work and any other applicable charges. A move is not booked by viewing these rates.
Repairs, restoration, mounting and technical installation are different from moving. Identify the exact preparation and assembly you want in the estimate rather than assuming every related task is included.
Tell Milvus about furniture built in its current room. Identify the construction and parts before deciding who disassembles it.
Show shelves, glass, existing damage or loose joints. Keep owner-removed hardware identified with the relevant item.
Provide dimensions and access photographs. Have its handling reviewed before the crew and vehicle arrangement is confirmed.
Have keys, receiving access and an available person ready. Choose rooms for larger furniture and leave space for agreed assembly.
Define the stored inventory and likely duration. Confirm conditions, access, handling and later delivery charges, keeping personal essentials with you.
Milvus is based in Waltham. Have travel and billable time explained along with the hourly crew rate, date category, minimum billing and any applicable preparation charges. Include all addresses and extra stops in the initial request.
If the destination is outside Massachusetts, request an interstate estimate with the receiving arrangement specified for that route. The local rate table does not establish a long-distance total.
Before booking, check that the inventory, access and services in the estimate match the work you need. Tell Milvus promptly if more belongings are added or property access changes.
