Start with what is moving
List furniture, cartons and the items that need extra preparation
List the larger furniture by room, estimate the carton count and include belongings in the garage, attic or storage unit. Mention particularly heavy, delicate or awkward pieces. A piano, glass cabinet and dismantled bed need different preparation even when they come from the same room.
Photos can help explain a large item and its surroundings. Include the item’s dimensions and any narrow turn or stair landing that may affect it. Do not assume a piece can leave the home the same way it arrived if its assembly or the property has changed.

Repeat the check at the new address. A spacious pickup does not resolve a narrow delivery staircase or a service elevator with a short reservation.

Dollies, straps and other moving equipment are selected around the item, route and handling method. A tool that helps on a level floor may not solve a tight stair turn. Leave the crew room to assess the route and discuss a concern before an awkward item is put into motion.
Homeowners can help by clearing loose belongings and identifying restrictions. Avoid experimenting with heavy furniture on stairs or improvising a lift from a balcony. If ordinary access may not work, explain the issue to Milvus early so the scope and feasibility can be reviewed.

Preparation does not mean doing everything yourself
You can request packing help for selected items or discuss a broader packing service. If a household is not ready to receive the belongings, ask about storage and include final delivery in the plan. For an office, explain the layout and equipment responsibilities separately from the physical move.

Give the best inventory you can and explain what remains to be packed. Update Milvus if the amount changes significantly so the scope can be reviewed.
Will every piece of furniture be dismantled?
Not necessarily. Discuss the specific pieces and access. Some items can move assembled; others need suitable disassembly, and some designs should not be taken apart casually.
Does professional packing guarantee no damage?
No packing method makes a move risk-free. Discuss suitable preparation, the handling plan and the protection or valuation terms in the written agreement.
Can Milvus decide the furniture layout for me?
Give the crew your placement instructions for the agreed delivery work. Planning the room layout beforehand makes those decisions easier.
