Packed cartons can stay inside the apartment while you prepare the entrance and carrying route. Avoid filling shared halls, landings or doorways with belongings. Ask the owner or manager about moving hours and any building instructions.
For a walk-up, count the actual flights and show the turns, railings and low ceilings. Include exterior steps as well as interior stairs. Send furniture dimensions and photographs where a sofa, dresser or bed frame has a difficult route.
Arrange loading space that the moving vehicle can use and explain the carrying distance. Boston provides guidance for reserving moving-truck parking; check the current process for the location and date.
