Through the house
Show the stair landing, doorway or turn that larger furniture must pass. Keep packed cartons away from that route.

Milvus moves Grafton households with room for the belongings beyond the main living areas. Include the garage, basement and home office in one inventory, then choose the packing and furniture help you want. We will work through access and the receiving plan with you.
Your estimate depends on the items, access and services you need.
Prefer to talk? 857-895-8955A room count is useful context, but it can miss a substantial part of the load. One consolidated list helps the crew and vehicle discussion reflect what is actually going.
Include shelving, stored cartons, tools and outdoor furniture that will move. Identify large or unusual equipment separately for review.
List the contents and describe how they reach the main entrance. A finished room and a storage area can have very different carrying routes.
Include desks, chairs, files and equipment. Keep important records and the belongings you need during the transition available.
Record furniture, estimated cartons and items needing disassembly or delicate handling. Mark anything staying with the property.

Sort the items you are taking before they enter the moving inventory. Empty loose contents into suitable cartons, identify detachable components and show Milvus any equipment that needs special preparation. Keep the door and vehicle approach clear.
Tell Milvus about fuel-powered equipment, chemicals, pressurized containers or other items that may require separate arrangements. Have acceptance and preparation confirmed before packing them with household goods. Do not treat an ordinary moving quote as approval to transport every garage item.
If shelves or furniture need disassembly, agree on who will do that work. Keep owner-removed hardware identified with the relevant piece, and tell the crew where the components are packed.
Show the stair landing, doorway or turn that larger furniture must pass. Keep packed cartons away from that route.
Photograph the outside approach, surface and any steps beyond the door. A direct exit still needs a suitable carrying path.
Identify the building, distance and access. Add its inventory explicitly so it is included in the appointment.
| Your preparation | What to include in the request |
|---|---|
| Everything is packed | Furniture list, carton count and remaining protection or disassembly |
| Some rooms are unfinished | Rooms, estimated contents, fragile items and materials needed |
| Most of the home needs packing | Full inventory, preferred preparation dates and daily-use belongings |
| Only selected furniture is moving | Each piece, dimensions, all addresses and access photographs |
For every option, have labor, supplies, crew, travel and minimum billing explained in the estimate. A smaller inventory changes the work, but the published hourly rate alone does not establish the appointment cost.
Milvus publishes five date categories for local moving. The table shows the hourly rate for a crew with a truck. Confirm the category for your date and the complete booking terms before accepting your estimate.
| Date category | 2 movers + truck | 3 movers + truck | 4 movers + truck |
|---|---|---|---|
| Discount | $110/hr | $160/hr | $210/hr |
| Regular | $120/hr | $170/hr | $220/hr |
| Subpeak | $150/hr | $200/hr | $250/hr |
| Peak | $180/hr | $230/hr | $280/hr |
| Highpeak | $260/hr | $360/hr | $460/hr |
Additional mover and additional truck rates are $55/hour each in the Discount category, $65/hour each in Regular, Subpeak and Peak, and $75/hour each in Highpeak. Ask which crew and vehicle arrangement fits your inventory.
The hourly rate is one part of the estimate. Confirm minimum billable time, travel, packing labor and materials, access-related work and any other applicable charges. A move is not booked by viewing these rates.
Give the receiving home the same access review as pickup. Check keys, building requirements and the route to each room. Choose the location of larger furniture and keep space available for any agreed assembly.
If some belongings will remain in storage, create a separate list and label the groups clearly. Discuss the storage period, conditions, access and charges for handling and later delivery. Keep essentials you will need during the interval with you.
Milvus is based in Waltham. Include travel in your Grafton estimate and provide every address involved. For a destination outside Massachusetts, ask for a route-specific interstate quote and delivery arrangement.

Yes. Put them on the inventory and describe access. Unusual equipment or items with special transport requirements need review before booking.

Send the addresses, move dates and a room-by-room list, including stored areas. Add photos of larger pieces and the route to the truck.
