Burlington Movers

A home office can be the last room packed and the first one you need again. For your Burlington move, tell Milvus which furniture and equipment must be accessible at delivery. We can plan those priorities alongside the rest of the household.

Rates and your estimate

Start with the Burlington moving date and crew rate

Milvus publishes five date categories for local moving. Compare the crew-and-truck rate alongside the estimated work and complete booking terms. A household with heavy furniture or several levels may need a different crew arrangement from a small prepared apartment.

Date category2 movers + truck3 movers + truck4 movers + truck
Discount$110/hr$160/hr$210/hr
Regular$120/hr$170/hr$220/hr
Subpeak$150/hr$200/hr$250/hr
Peak$180/hr$230/hr$280/hr
Highpeak$260/hr$360/hr$460/hr

Additional mover and additional truck rates are $55/hour each in the Discount category, $65/hour each in Regular, Subpeak and Peak, and $75/hour each in Highpeak. Ask which crew and vehicle arrangement fits your inventory.

The hourly rate is one part of the estimate. Confirm minimum billable time, travel, packing labor and materials, access-related work and any other applicable charges. A move is not booked by viewing these rates.

Interior layout and belongings prepared for a household move
Include workspace furniture and equipment in the room-by-room moving list.
The workspace is part of the household

List the desk, shelving and equipment separately

A home office can add more to the move than one desk. Include bookcases, filing cabinets, chairs, monitors and boxed supplies in the inventory. Identify a standing desk, glass top or larger cabinet that needs particular preparation.

Keep important files and portable devices under your own control where practical. Back up your work before disconnecting equipment, and keep account credentials and private documents outside the general moving cartons. Milvus is quoting transport and any agreed furniture work, not data handling or network installation.

Photograph cable connections before disconnecting them and keep the correct cables with each device. Tell us about desk disassembly and reassembly needs so the receiving room can be prepared for the work that is actually included.

Furniture placement does not include electrical, plumbing, wall-mounting or IT work unless a separate arrangement expressly covers it. Schedule any required specialist so their access does not conflict with the moving appointment.

Prepare the rest of the home

Three details that make the estimate more useful

Packing still to be done

Describe which rooms and fragile pieces need help. Confirm supplies, labor and timing rather than assuming packing is included in every household move.

Routes through both properties

Include parking, stairs, door openings and the path for the largest furniture. For a managed building, obtain the moving hours, lift reservation and paperwork instructions.

What is outside the main rooms

Add garage, basement, spare-room and storage-area belongings. Mark items staying behind separately so the inventory does not include furniture someone else is collecting.

Before you accept the estimate

Check the entire appointment, not just the hourly number

Milvus is based in Waltham and accepts Burlington moving requests. The useful comparison is the work and charges for your full journey, including any gap or additional stop.

  • Moving time and travel

Confirm the date category, crew size, minimum time and the start and end of billable time. Ask how travel is accounted for.

  • Packing and furniture work

Have the requested labor, materials, disassembly and reassembly identified. Explain any unusual item or delicate finish before booking.

  • Dates and changes

Give the actual key-handover and receiving windows. Review deposit, cancellation and schedule-change terms with the booking rather than assuming a standard arrangement.

  • Storage or an interstate destination

For storage, discuss duration, handling and redelivery. For a move outside Massachusetts, request a route estimate with pickup and delivery arrangements instead of applying the local hourly table.

Questions before you book

A few more details

Have a different situation? Call 857-895-8955 and talk it through with Milvus.

Can Milvus move my home-office furniture with the rest of the house?

Include the desk, shelving, chair and equipment in the inventory. Request any furniture disassembly or reassembly in advance and keep important data and private records under your control.

Will the movers reconnect computers and office equipment?

Do not assume IT setup is included in household moving. Arrange data, network and equipment setup separately unless an explicit service agreement says otherwise.

Should I empty a filing cabinet before moving?

Discuss the cabinet’s construction, weight and contents with Milvus. Secure private records separately and follow the preparation agreed for the particular item.

Can I request selected-room packing?

Yes. Explain which rooms or items need help, then confirm labor, materials and the packing appointment in the estimate.

How do I choose the right crew size?

Provide the actual load, floors, preparation and carrying distances. Review the proposed crew with the estimated work and complete charges, not only the hourly rate.

Can furniture be stored during a renovation?

Discuss the inventory, expected duration and final receiving access. Confirm availability, storage terms and the charges for handling and redelivery.
