Furniture pieces and packing materials prepared in a home
Identify furniture components and agree on the preparation and reassembly work.
Plan the furniture that needs preparation

Keep components identified from pickup to delivery

A bed assembled inside a room or a table with removable parts needs a clear preparation plan. Show Milvus how the item is constructed and give dimensions and access photographs before the appointment.

Agree on dismantling and reassembly responsibilities. Keep fittings in an identified container with the corresponding furniture and explain any existing damage or unusual construction.

At the receiving home, check that the intended room and route are suitable for the piece. Furniture placement and access should be settled before taking components off at pickup.

Give delicate belongings their own entry

Describe the care the inventory needs

Confirm the accepted items and agreed handling scope before collection. A specialist task should be assessed separately from the ordinary carton count.

Rates and your estimate

Weston local moving rates

Milvus publishes five date categories for local moving. The table shows the hourly rate for a crew with a truck. Confirm the category for your date and the complete booking terms before accepting your estimate.

Date category2 movers + truck3 movers + truck4 movers + truck
Discount$110/hr$160/hr$210/hr
Regular$120/hr$170/hr$220/hr
Subpeak$150/hr$200/hr$250/hr
Peak$180/hr$230/hr$280/hr
Highpeak$260/hr$360/hr$460/hr

Additional mover and additional truck rates are $55/hour each in the Discount category, $65/hour each in Regular, Subpeak and Peak, and $75/hour each in Highpeak. Ask which crew and vehicle arrangement fits your inventory.

The hourly rate is one part of the estimate. Confirm minimum billable time, travel, packing labor and materials, access-related work and any other applicable charges. A move is not booked by viewing these rates.

Connect the price to the property and load

Review the complete appointment

Choose the crew and truck with the actual inventory and access in view. Confirm the date category, minimum billable time and how travel is calculated from Milvus’s Waltham base.

Packing labor, materials, agreed furniture preparation, extra stops and applicable access-related charges belong in the full estimate. Compare quotes using the same load and responsibilities.

If the vehicle position, inventory or receiving address changes, update Milvus before the appointment so the scope can be reviewed.

If the next home will hold a different load

Separate what moves now from what follows later

The next home

Identify the retained furniture and cartons by destination and receiving room. Keep excluded belongings apart.

Storage or another address

List that group separately. For storage, review duration, conditions, access, handling and redelivery charges.

Make the receiving plan concrete

Set the rooms, timing and point of contact

  1. Before booking

Share fixed move-out and receiving windows.

  2. Before loading

Confirm keys, the recipient and any changed access.

  3. At delivery

Direct the agreed room placement and keep essential luggage separate from household cartons.
